Being a mom---especially a working mom---usually means that life is packed to the max. Connecting with supportive friends would be nice, but---who has the time? Moms @ Work exists for those who long for a heart-to-heart connection and the support and encouragement that connection provides. Working moms, Lisa Ebbesen and Cindy Laxton co-founded Moms @ Work in 2004. Their God-given passion is to direct weary women to the One who brings refreshment… ...meet Lisa Lisa has many years of experience owning and operating home-based businesses. However, a temporary position as assistant to a CEO gave her a fresh, first-hand appreciation for the daily stresses faced by moms in the workplace. As Lisa prayed for the corporate moms she worked with, God answered by birthing a new ministry---Moms @ Work. Lisa lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and is married to Jeff. They have three children: Amy, 27, Carter, 18, and Charlotte, 13. Lisa has been known to fearlessly traverse unfamiliar Southern cities in search of a good bowl of turnip greens. ...meet Cindy God used Cindy's background in teaching kids, young adults and parents to lead her into ministry to working moms and their families. As a working mom employed in business and education, she has also served alongside her husband, who is a pastor. Cindy grew up in Hawaii and is happiest with sunshine on her face and sand in-between her toes. Cindy and her family currently live in Northern California. She and her husband, Larry, celebrate 28 years of marriage this year. They have two children, Tom, 22, and Liz, 18. Cindy avoids wearing shoes unless she's in a hotel room---hotel carpets weird her out. > more about us |
